Upstairs Downstairs

A spectacular critical and ratings success when first transmitted, Upstairs Downstairs - thirty years later -still maintains its position as one of the major success stories of British television on a global basis. Multiple award winning (including ones from BAFTA, the Writers Guild, the Royal Television Society, Emmies and Golden Globes) the series features endearing and memorable performances from Jean Marsh (Rose), Gordon Jackson (Hudson), Angela Baddeley (Mrs. Bridges) and Pauline Collins (Sarah) and was produced by the legendary John Hawkesworth.

There are special features on all three of the sets so far, and these include: Series1; commentaries, a documentary on the making of series 1 and a stills gallery. Series 2; commentaries, A "Making of Series Two" documentary, Simon Williams and Alfred Shaughnessy in Conversation. I haven't the details for the series 3 special features yet, but these will follow.

For more details of the show please visit updown.org.uk as there is little point in me trying to reinvent the wheel when this extremely comprehensive site is already available.
